Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, registering for, or using Bite of Balance (the "Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and [Your Company Name], a company registered in Greece, in accordance with Greek Civil Code and EU consumer protection law.
2. Description of Service
The Application provides a digital platform connecting patients with licensed dieticians/nutritionists for the purpose of:
- Recording and tracking body measurements (weight, height, BMI)
- Receiving personalised dietary guidance and meal planning
- Communicating with your assigned dietician
- Monitoring nutritional progress over time
The Application is a support tool and does not constitute medical diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional medical advice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 15 years of age (the Greek digital consent age) to use this Application independently. Users between 15 and 18 are subject to additional parental/guardian consent requirements.
By using the Application you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
4. User Account
To use the Application you must create an account by providing your name, email address, and phone number. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access at tolisatolis7@gmail.com
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms.
5. Health Data and Medical Disclaimer
The Application collects health-related data including body weight, height, and BMI. By providing this data you explicitly consent to its processing as described in our Privacy Policy.
IMPORTANT: The Application and its content are intended for general wellness and nutritional support only. They do not constitute medical diagnosis or clinical advice, a replacement for consultation with a qualified physician, or emergency health services. If you have a medical condition, eating disorder, or urgent health concern, please consult a qualified medical professional. In an emergency, call 166 (EKAV – Greek National Emergency Medical Service) or 112.
6. Dietician Services
Dieticians using the platform are independent licensed professionals. [Your Company Name] is not responsible for the specific dietary advice they provide. The dietician-patient relationship is governed separately.
We do not guarantee specific health outcomes. Results depend on individual factors and adherence to the programme.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Use the Application for any unlawful purpose under Greek or EU law
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the Application
- Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- Harass, abuse, or harm any dietician or other user
8. Intellectual Property
All content within the Application, including software, design, text, and data structures, is the exclusive property of [Your Company Name] or its licensors and is protected under Greek and EU intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.
9. Subscription and Payments
The Application may offer paid subscription plans. By subscribing:
- Fees are charged in EUR and are inclusive of applicable Greek VAT (currently 24%)
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- Refunds are handled in accordance with EU consumer rights (Directive 2011/83/EU) and Greek Law 2251/1994
- You have a 14-day cooling-off right for digital services where applicable
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Greek and EU law, [Your Company Name] shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Application
- Health outcomes resulting from following dietary advice
- Loss of data due to technical failures beyond our reasonable control
Our total liability in any case shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, as these cannot be excluded under Greek law.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Greek law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece.

12. Changes to Terms

You may terminate your account at any time via the Application settings or by contacting us. Upon termination, we will process data deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may terminate access for breach of these Terms, providing reasonable notice except where immediate termination is necessary to protect security or comply with law.
